Antique Santos Mahogany Hardwood from Railroad Car

Description

Approximately 350 board feet of rare antique Santos Mahogany lumber for sale. This lumber was originally kiln dried and used as flooring in a rail car that was commissioned during the 1940s. The boards are tongue and groove, straight, and in good, workable condition. The last two pictures I have uploaded show what the grain of the wood looks like with only some polyurethane and no stain applied. It is an extremely hard wood (coming in at 2400 on the Janka scale, considerably harder than oak), and it would make an excellent rare, antique hardwood to use in building handmade furniture, crafts, collectibles, or artwork.
I have 51 boards that are approximately 2 1/4" x 7 1/4" x 56" as well as several smaller boards. The price I am asking was chosen to reflect the hardness, thickness, age, rarity, progeny, and condition of this hardwood.
I will deliver to you for free if you are relatively close (I am in Ohio), but I am willing to deliver the lumber to you if you are farther away for a fee.  I am flexible on the delivery arrangements and I am sure that we can work something out.
This lumber is being sold as is and I will not accept any returns.
