BROMELIADS Vriesea OSPINAE-GRUBERII Incredible Patterns!

This is Vriesea Ospinae- Gruberii. I've always liked this plant not only for the dramatic leaf designs, but the form in which it grows. I forget the real term for the way the leaves grow in between each other to form almost a shrub-like appearance that's full bodied. The "heads" (my name) clump together and look bushy. How's that for botanical information? According to the light you grow it in, you can get every shade of green all the way up to gold foliage with maroon markings when grown in bright light, like in the last picture. Hey, who are these women showing up in my listing? Brunette? Redhead? Me and this plant go way back. The sale plant is smaller than the one I just sold and has been grown in higher light. It's the one in the first 3 pictures.

You know I’m not one for disclaimers and warnings in my listings. I like to keep it simple. But this shipping thing has me going bonkers so here are my thoughts. This past year the USPS has had problems and in my opinion it’s not a good environment for plant shipping, at this time. Now I use UPS and they have been performing well, it seems. I use Ebay shipping to print my labels and they give a nice discount for using their services. The result is that the actual shipping cost is lower (sometimes as much as 40-50% lower) than the price quoted to the customer. I have no way of knowing the actual savings until the package is weighed and measured. I give a refund to the buyer, but the customer
may not know ahead of time about the discount.
As always, I will continue to combine shipping and be proactive to save money on your behalf.
