early 1900s Duplex Snare Drum

Description

early 1900s Duplex Snare Drum in ‘as-found’ condition. Shell measures 4” deep by approx 13.5” across but is out of round. Top head is unbroken but has several small holes. Bottom head is intact but is split. Original snares are also intact but one strand is broken.
The drum has seven single tension lugs. Yes that was a factory original option from Duplex! There are no indentions on the hoops to suggest a different number of claws/rods was ever used.
