Description
These are beautiful plants that only get better with time. It has been a fairly quick grower for me and the leaves take on a respectable size. It's very easy to grow and is happiest when it's climbing. The new leaves are red on the back and fade to a flame like pattern as the leaf matures. It likes bright light, but not direct sun, particularly if grown outside. Water when slightly dry. Once a month, or so, it likes a good flood and a shower/misting whenever convenient to help keep the leaves clean and able to breath better. Don't leave sitting in water. A good, well draining soil with some organic matter mixed in will give the best results.
The plant pictured is the plant being offered in this auction. It's happy, healthy and wants to start climbing something.
They will benefit from some time released fertilizer in the late spring. You can also mix fertilizer, at ¼ strength, in the misting bottle and give them a little snack every time you mist them..

You can choose FedEx or USPS. Several buyers have asked for FedEx lately. FedEx costs very little more and has been very reliable. The default choice is USPS, but you can choose which you prefer.
I do not refund if there is a bent/broken leaf, or a leaf goes bad from transplant/transport shock. I pack carefully & securely, but sometimes plants don't enjoy being unpotted from their happy homes, put in a box and sent, at the mercy of USPS handlers, across the country, no matter how well it's packed. Sometimes the plant will sacrifice a leaf for the good of the whole plant. It's nature. With even moderate care, the plant will continue to grow as before without further upset.
By the way, if you think you may not be home when your plants are delivered, inform your mail carrier that you're expecting a package and if left, please leave in a shady place that you disclose to him or her. Plants will not appreciate being left in the hot sun. If your plant is left in the sun, as sometimes happens, and are wilty, bring them into the house and soak for at least an hour in some cool water away from direct sunlight.
If you are happy with your plant please leave feedback & I will do the same for you.
If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them as best I can. Thanks for looking!
