    Description

    This is I believe a custom made Mid-century bait box. It measures approx 16" long, 8 1/2" wide and 8" high. It's oval shaped with galvanized mesh wire wrapped around the frame. The wood top and bottom are weathered and used to be green. Now some green remains but alot has been weathered away. There is writing on the inside bottom of a Chicago business from the 50s. It has a metal square hinged opening. One Hinge is broken as shown in images. Heavy and solidly built. The hinges and top handle are rusty. This would be a great display piece or repurposed item for the garden or porch.
